Select similar layers
A really handy way to save time when you need to recolor an artwork or select and edit similar elements on your document, without individually selecting each object,
use the menu item “Select > Same“.
Just select one object, navigate to the menu item Select > Same > and choose the option that you need. You can choose to select objects by colour, stroke weight, opacity, fill colour, and more.
Increase & decrease brush size
Increase and decrease your brush size quickly and easily using keyboard shortcuts.
To increase the brush size, press the right square bracket button ( ] ) and to decrease the brush size, click the left square bracket button ( [ ).
Blob Brush
Hold down the regular Paint Brush tool button and you’ll discover the Blob Brush tool (or press Shift + B). Instead of creating strokes, like the regular Paint Brush tool, the Blob Brush tool allows you to create solid vector shapes.
Lock all other layers
One very simple method to control this is to just hold the ALT key (or Option on Mac) then click the lock of the one layer that you want to be active, this will then lock all other layers at once for you, keeping you free to work on the one layer you do want to work on, while protecting all other layers.
You can use the white arrow to adjust path curves, without ever touching the “Handlebars.”
This one might not be used as much as the others but it is good to know none-the-less. You can select (using the White Arrow) a line segment between 2 points on a path, and manipulate its Bezier curve by dragging, without messing with the anchor points at all.
Align
It makes guides obsolete in many cases and gives you more freedom to let the creativity flow. Click Window > Align or press Shift + F7
